• admission meet academic requirements of selected Master's or PhD programme
• admission admitted to KAUST graduate studies
• Not open to: some externally sponsored or funded students may be ineligible; affected subset unspecified
• demonstrate strong academic and research potential

How to apply

1. Find a graduate program matching your interests and career goals; explore relevant faculty profiles and research areas. Required
2. Check application dates and deadlines on the admissions timeline. Required
3. Review required documentation on the admission requirements page. Required
4. Create an application account, complete your application, and upload required documents. Upload official academic records from every institution previously attended, including native-language scans, certified English translations, and the university grading scale. Add your CV. Required
5. Arrange for three recommendation letters to be submitted directly by your recommenders through the application. Required
6. Provide official TOEFL or IELTS scores unless you received a degree from an accredited institution in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. If providing optional GRE results, have official results sent directly from ETS; the stated KAUST admissions code is 4139. Required
7. Once all supporting documentation has been uploaded, log into your account and submit the application. Required
8. If offered admission, send an official final transcript in a sealed envelope before arrival, during onboarding, to Office of Admissions, Admissions and Student Affairs, Student Center (Building 18), Floor 3, 4700 King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Thuwal, Jeddah 23955-6900, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
