How to apply

The application information below summarizes the captured scholarship source. Review the provider page before submitting.

  1. For Master's, AFAM and PhD programmes, check with the chosen institution and/or Universitaly whether admission tests or pre-enrolment procedures are required. For joint/double Master's degrees, verify that enrolment at the Italian institution and a valid 2026–2027 enrolment certificate will be possible. Optional
  2. Register on the Study in Italy portal and upload a legible copy of a valid passport or identity document. Use an email address checked regularly. Required
  3. Complete the application for one country only. Dual Italian/foreign citizens must indicate their foreign citizenship and also declare and upload proof of Italian citizenship; holders of multiple foreign citizenships must select one eligible citizenship. Required
  4. Submit the application exclusively through Study in Italy by 14:00 Italian time on March 26, 2026. Renewals use the same portal procedure and must concern the same programme at the same institution. Required
  5. If successful in the comparative evaluation, attend the interview. Required
  6. After the merit ranking, upload supplementary academic qualification, PhD admission or Master's/AFAM language documents only if expressly requested. This is available only to ranked applicants who indicated the need in their application, and must be completed by 14:00 Italian time on July 1, 2026. Required
  7. If awarded a scholarship, accept or decline it; then acknowledge and accept the scholarship awarding letter. Required
  8. Scholarship recipients must complete necessary pre-enrolment and/or enrolment at the chosen institution. Where required, apply to the relevant Italian diplomatic representation for a tax identification number and study visa before the scholarship starts, allowing sufficient time for issuance. Required
