How to apply

The application information below summarizes the captured scholarship source. Review the provider page before submitting.

  1. If currently enrolled as an undergraduate, coordinate early with your campus contact. Follow any university internal pre-application procedures and deadlines; notifying the contact is a courtesy if you do not need assistance. Optional
  2. Applicants using the China Application System should consult the Schwarzman College Admissions guidelines. This is a separate application route from the U.S./Global route. Required
  3. For applicants required to use the China application, start the application through the linked China application portal. Required
  4. For applicants using the Schwarzman Scholars online application, create an account and activate it with the PIN sent by email. If you created an account in 2021 or later, log in as a returning user; if you applied or started an application before 2021, create a new account. Required
  5. In the online application, click “Start New Application.” Complete the form in English and submit all requirements electronically; materials are not accepted by mail or email. Required
  6. Complete the application fields and upload the required materials, including the biographical profile, resume/CV, transcripts and any required English test score, essays, and short answers. Register three recommenders in the application system so it sends them the recommendation request. Applicants may submit before all recommendation letters have arrived; the letters must still be submitted by the application deadline. Required
  7. Review the application, complete the required certification and electronic signature, correct any submission-blocking errors, and click “Submit Application.” Submissions are final and cannot be reopened for edits. Required
