Students cannot apply to Campus France directly: they apply to the French institution, which submits the application. How to apply

The application information below summarizes the captured scholarship source. Review the provider page before submitting.

  1. Approach the French higher education institution where you hope to study to find out its deadline for receiving student applications; the Campus France deadline below is for institutions, not students. Required
  2. Work through a French higher education or research institution to be put forward: only such institutions may transmit an admissible application, and applications submitted through other channels are not accepted. Required
  3. Prepare and provide the candidate-side documents required for the relevant track to the institution for inclusion in its dossier. The candidate declaration must be completed and signed by the candidate. Required
  4. For the Master track, the French institution completes and submits the application online through the Master portal; candidates do not submit directly. Required
  5. For the Doctorate track, the French institution completes and submits the application online through the Doctorate portal; candidates do not submit directly. Required
  6. After submitting all its applications on SMApply, the institution sends Campus France one signed bordereau listing its submitted applications, in PDF format. Required
Deadline
Deadline unconfirmed
Deadline notes
6 January 2027 is the date for French institutions to submit applications to Campus France, not a student deadline. Students apply to the French institution and must meet its own, earlier internal deadline: ask the institution's international relations office. Results are expected in the week of 12 April 2027.

Notes
Only French higher education and research institutions can submit applications, and the selected candidate must be enrolled in the programme for which they were selected. Eligible programmes must be state-accredited; distance programmes and French programmes relocated abroad are not eligible.
