How to apply

The application information below summarizes the captured scholarship source. Review the provider page before submitting.

  1. Attend an online Q&A session if useful for application questions. The listed dates are 07 July, 04 August, and 01 September; sessions are at 14:00 CET. Optional
  2. Complete the DAAD Application Form and include its date of issue. Required
  3. Complete the MEG application form. The online application process is closed and will not be reactivated; fill in the form and send it with the documents as a single PDF by email. Required
  4. Prepare the required application documents and merge the applicant-submitted documents into one single PDF, in the stated order. Referees must send their recommendation letters directly rather than including them in a submission by the applicant. Required
  5. Enter the names and contact dates of both chosen referees in page 2 of the MEG application form, and arrange for them to send their letters directly to the programme before the deadline; do not send the letters yourself. Required
  6. Email the single-PDF application to info-meg@unr.uni-freiburg.de. Incomplete applications cannot be considered. Required
  7. If nominated for the shortlist, attend the interview; scholarship-candidate selection is finalised only after the interview. Required
