How to apply

These required steps were checked against official details for this cycle.

  1. Digitize the documents requested for the Master’s application before starting the online application. Required
  2. For applicants using IS-Academia, complete the Master’s application form and check the box requesting consideration for an excellence fellowship. EPFL students applying for a consecutive Master’s degree and wishing to continue in the same field should submit the application directly to their section instead. Required
  3. Upload the requested application documents and provide the contact details of your academic referees, except where the stated referee exemptions apply. Required
  4. Validate and pay for the completed application. For fellowship consideration, the IS-Academia application must be paid for and validated by December 15; the page states that EPFL students applying for a consecutive Master’s degree have a January 30 deadline. Required
  5. Ask your referees to submit their recommendation letters through the electronic application process. The letters are due one week after the application deadline; the exact date is given in the confirmation email. Stated exemptions apply. Required
  6. Architecture applicants only: after completing and paying for the online application, use the access details sent by email to upload the required work portfolio to the dedicated web server. Upload work certificates in the online application if already available. Optional
